How-To-Guides

 

  1. Click on the Announcements link in the left course navigation

  2. Click the Add Announcement button

  3. Type a title for the announcement in the topic title field and add content in the Rich Content Editor. You can also attach a file


     
  4. To add an attachment to your announcement, click the Attach link, then select a file to attach (PDF, DOCX, PPTX, etc).
    - The file name will appear with the paper click icon.

  5. By default, Canvas will send your announcement to all sections of your course (HCOM-351-01, HCOM-351-02, etc). Select the specific section(s) of the course under
    Post to

    All Sections
     
  6. In the Options section, you can select various options for your announcement (Date, Time, Availability, Allow Participants to Comment, etc.)

  7. Press the Publish button
