What is Satisfactory Academic Progress and What are the Requirements?

Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) is the standard Morehouse College uses to ensure students are successfully completing their coursework and moving toward earning their degree in order to remain eligible for federal, state, and institutional financial aid.

To maintain SAP, students must:

  1. Maintain the required minimum cumulative GPA (qualitative standard).
  2. Successfully complete a sufficient percentage of attempted credit hours (quantitative standard).
  3. Complete their degree within the maximum time frame allowed.

Failure to meet these standards may result in the loss of financial aid eligibility until progress is regained or an appeal is approved.
