Bereavement/Funeral – Absence Request

Tags Absences

Service Overview

Use this service to request an excused absence if you are unable to attend class due to the death of a loved one, attendance at a funeral, or other bereavement-related responsibilities.

You may submit your request before obtaining supporting documentation. If documentation is not available at the time of submission, you may provide it during the review process. Requests cannot be approved until all required documentation has been received.

Acceptable documentation may include a funeral program, obituary, statement from a funeral home, or other official documentation that verifies the circumstances of your request.

Submission of a request does not guarantee approval. All requests are reviewed in accordance with the Morehouse College Class Attendance Policy.
