⚠︎Absence requests for an official competition, activity, or trip sponsored by a Morehouse College athletic team or Recognized Student Organization (RSO) are not managed through this portal. Please contact your coach or faculty sponsor to discuss your request for an excused absence. You may also email officialclassexcuse@morehouse.edu with additional questions.
Examples of Request
Examples of qualifying activities include:
- Athletic competitions
- Official team travel
- Recognized Student Organization conferences
- College-sponsored leadership programs
- Official competitions, performances, or events sponsored by a Morehouse College athletic team or Recognized Student Organization (RSO)
Before You Submit
Before submitting your request, please ensure that you:
- Submit your request within five (5) calendar days of the absence.
- Upload all required supporting documentation with your request.
- Ensure your documentation supports the reason for your absence.
- Have not already submitted a request for the same absence.
- Understand that submission of a request does not guarantee approval and that this absence category is generally not considered eligible for an official class excuse under the Morehouse College Class Attendance Policy.
Important: Do not upload photographs containing injuries, blood, bodily fluids, or restroom-related images. Requests containing inappropriate images may be denied.
