Overview
When Box creates a Shared Link, it generates a unique URL that grants access to a specific file or folder. Shared links automatically point to the most recent version of the file, so if you update the content, the link stays current—no manual adjustments needed.
Customize access permissions based on your needs:
- “Invited People Only”: The most restricted setting—only those specifically invited can access the content.
- “People in Your Company”: Anyone within your company or invited to the folder gains access.
- “People with the Link”: The most open option—publicly accessible, and no Box account required.
